Greetings all to this inaugural post. Here’s a gift for you: One In The Ear 2009, a ‘best of’ selected from music I bought last year. A mix-tape if you will. There’s a couple of tracks that were available individually but most are taken from albums, all of which are listed below. So if you like a particular song or artist, check out the album or even the label too (the excellent Bella Union for example). We all enjoy discovering new music, right?

I was going to write in more detail about the tracks included but in my haste to beat Rich to the punch (his annual compilation is imminent), I can’t be bothered. So enjoy, and return to leave comments if you like; it’ll be interesting to hear what’s gone down well.
